be mindful...your easiest task may be someone else's biggest challenge. things that you survive may just be the thing to break another's spirit. words are tools and can build or destroy. pay attention to which you do....
i know i'm on the edge of a wonderous thing when those friends you love to hate show up...doubt, fear, and uncertainty. it can be paralyzing. the challenge comes in pushing past the facade...because fear is only an illusion, a mirage, a lot of stage makeup used to cover up true vision. i believe in me and my abilities...maybe i still have a tinge of rose on my glasses. not sure if that is good or bad but it allows the friends i want to surround me...hope, optimism, positivity and possibility. i was visiting one of my favorite websites today www.43things.com and i reviewed my personal challenges and guess what? i realized i am working on that list and a host of other things. i often time move on to the next thing without celebrating the things i have accomplished. there are a host of dreams rolling around in my head and i'd like to attempt most of them. i am a work in progress and i am unapologetic for that. after a certain age people want to box you in or put you in some imaginary slot. i do not live a life of imaginary bounderies but instead live in an open aired space filled to the brim with opportunities and anticipation. with that in mind i have thrown caution to the wind and decided to risk it...risk what? living a fulfilled life. i have decided to choose joy. for some there is no choice to be made. i just want to be proactive in the matter. it is my intent to be an ambassador for joy in 2010. you cannot give what you don't have and therefore i am open to the possibilies of big and little things or moments that feed my personal joy...that allow me to shine light with every step, every breath, every word, every deed...and hopefully to everyone i meet. i want people to be changed for having met me. as i grow it is my wish that everyone around me will grow also. remember jack and the beanstalk? all we need to do is plant the seed and amazing possibilities will grow! |
