yesterday i met rebecca skloot, the author of the book "the immortal life of henriette lacks". if you've not read it the book it follows the life of henrietta lacks, a black woman, whose cells are the foundation of most modern cell research. (HeLa cells). i always wonder about what happens when science meets art. i need to explore that...and soon. look for the photos!
